“Yoga has had a profound impact on every area of my life. I originally came to the practice not only because of severe running injuries, but also because I was in emotional chaos. I intuitively knew I needed a grounding force amidst all the change that was swirling around my life. So through a series of serendipitous events, I wound up in a yoga class. To me, it was not a huge awakening with fireworks and a parade, but I did feel grounded, relaxed, and refreshed. From that point on, I went to class as much as I could, and began to realize what a profound effect yoga was having on my life. I felt calmer, I felt happier, and my relationships began to feel easier. My body felt incredible and all of my pain from running had completely dissipated.

Many forms of yoga inspire my practice and teaching including Iyengar, Anusara, Forrest, and Ashtanga. I have also been deeply touched and influenced by contemporary teachers of the truth such as Gangagi, Sri Nisargdatta Maharaj, and Byron Katie. I firmly believe that yoga cannot be labeled or confined to any system and that the best yoga flows from what you love and from your own heart. Yoga is not about something far away from you that you need to acquire. Yoga is about recognizing you already are, right now, all that you need.”
